Akash Narayan

Early life

Akash Narayan was born in Salem, Tamil Nadu in 2002. His earliest years were spent with his maternal grandparents in Salem before he relocated to live with his parents in Bengaluru. It was there, on his mother's laptop, that he first encountered programming - teaching himself quietly, building small programs, and figuring out systems as he went.

By age 13 he was writing software for small programs and games, editing photos and videos for school friends working on YouTube and social media, and exploring cryptocurrency - mining, trading, and finding his footing in systems. His paternal grandfather and father were both lawyers; the judiciary was never distant from the family's daily life, giving him an early feel for institutions, process, and the people inside them.

Alongside school, he participated in hackathons and built two products:

• HowToTech (2017) - an app designed to help senior citizens navigate smartphones, recognised by Infosys in 10th grade.
• VeBrowser (2016-17) - an Android browser experimenting with lockscreen-based widgets, published on Google Play with a 5.0 rating.

In college, he served as Vice President of the Entrepreneurship Cell at his law school, interned at Nokia as a network engineer, and worked as a distribution partner for Sunburn while organising events across Bengaluru.

Corporate

Narayan's corporate career spans legal technology, fintech, cybercrime reporting, law firm growth, full-stack development, and enterprise networking. He founded and leads Legalit, an AI-based legal operating system, and has held roles across multiple sectors since 2016. His work has ranged from early-stage product development and data intelligence to political technology and enterprise infrastructure, reflecting a broad commercial profile shaped by hands-on experience across industries.

Whistleblower

In 2021, during his years mining and trading cryptocurrency, Narayan operated on the peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace Paxful. He became inadvertently entangled in a sophisticated money mule scam, where an external actor used fraudulent transactions to victimize users. Recognizing the structural flaws in the platform's oversight, Narayan proactively cooperated with Indian cybercrime investigation cells, providing critical technical intelligence and forensics to assist law enforcement. To acquire a deeper understanding of digital investigations, he undertook courses in ethical hacking and cyber forensics.

His detailed analysis helped map the operational mechanisms of P2P money mule syndicates, eventually tracing the physical location of the primary scammers to Nigeria. The forensic intelligence he provided was contributed to ongoing investigations into fraud patterns on the platform. Paxful, a marketplace valued at $3-5 billion at its peak, wound down its P2P operations in April 2023 amid a broader set of internal disputes and regulatory pressures, and was later assessed a $4 million penalty for facilitating transactions tied to fraud and sanctions violations. Narayan's work stands as one of the early documented instances of a P2P trader collaborating with state cyber cells to expose international P2P fraud networks.

   Abstract - For three decades, the World Wide Web has relied on the Graphical User Interface (GUI) as the primary medium for information exchange. However, the emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Large Action Models (LAMs) signals the end of this era. This paper argues that the future of the internet will transition away from direct human visitation of websites. Instead, the web will evolve into a "headless" infrastructure where AI agents act as intermediaries, consuming data via APIs and performing actions on behalf of users. We analyze the decline of traditional search traffic, the rise of "Zero UI" interfaces, and the necessary pivot from Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
